STYLE (SPRING & SUMMER) - Luxe Looks For Less (Classic Sport Casual)

Winter  has run its course, and Spring and Summer demand that you peel off those layers, before you burst into flames, in favor of shorts, tees, and flip-flops!

But how do you dress cool enough to vent all your trouble spots without resorting to ether a sleeveless tee or a "wife-beater" (tank top), and the same cargo shorts you wore to the first Warped tour?
Short on fly gear? Where can you get some good stuff without killing your wallet, or having to go a billion different places?

I GOT YOU.

THE SPORTSMAN
This look is for those who want to look their best, even whether when outside in the sun and heat, or in the sudden cool of the evening.
Really, this is a simple Spring look but can be "Summerized" (pun intended) by ditching the jacket, and substituting the long-legged chinos for a pair of non-cargo shorts that are made in the same slim chino-like fashion.
Be ready to go from a neighborhood barbecue, to a round of golf, to an evening date in or out, looking crisp, clean, and as cool as a fan!

Here's a breakdown of the following Spring/Summer Classic Sport Casual look, that can have you looking like a man of leisure, on or off-duty, for barely $200:
  • "Harrington" Blouson/Jacket by Polo: Ralph Lauren (found at Burlington Coat Factory) - $22
  • Polo by Polo: Ralph Lauren (found at local Thrift Store) - $6
  • Chinos by Goodfellow (found at Target) - $25
  • Shoes (White #63 Slip-Ons, not pictured) by Vans (found at Journeys Shoes) - $62
  • Watch by George (found at Walmart) - $15
  • Jewelry by MJ Darling (The Pharaoh, and The STARSHIP rings, found HERE) - $100 total
  • Hair by Angel at B&B's Above & Beyond (located near UAB in B'ham, AL) - $15-20
SUMMER PRO STYLE TIP:
Choose lighter versions of a color in lieu of the darker versions in the sunny seasons, so that the sun doesn't "sun-beat" and fade your clothing's colors.

Pick a lighter Navy in the sunny seasons and a darker navy in the colder ones; the same with khakis, black and grays.

Lighter colors and shades will make your clothing a bit breezier by reflecting the sunlight instead of absorbing it, like darker colors would.

So if you wear darker colors, you may only want to do so either when you know you'll mostly be inside away from the heat, or in the evening when the sun won't bake you like a potato wrapped in tin foil!

And remember, these garments are mostly neutral colors, and are very versatile, and can be worn with most anything else in your closet, as long as the fit is consistent, meaning no baggy shirts with fitted pants, ans vice versa-

..just in case you were wondering if you'd have to buy a complete outfit every time you want to change your look; no, you don't!

Classic wear means that a good quality garment will last for years, even decades, so rest assured that neutral colors and a timeless style/cut will go a long way for your precious dollar!
